Profile of Mrs. Diana Hopeson

Mrs. Diana Hopeson is a Missionary, Counseling Psychologist and ADR professional. Creative and performing artist. She obtained Diploma in Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana, Legon. She had her Bachelors and MPhil from the University of Education, Winneba in Guidance and Counseling. She was the first National Representative for Lay Counsellors on the Ghana Psychology Association (GPA) Executives and served from 2018 to 2020.

She has practiced family counseling, therapy, couple conflict management, individual and group Counselling. She has done an intensive research work and done publications and presentations on counselling needs of performing artist in Ghana. She has also done significant interventions and developed resources for Career Guidance in the Creative Arts. She has been a resource person for SHS/ TVET career opportunities for JHS graduates in some schools.

Diana has been instrumental in making policies for the Creative Arts industry especially Music and have served on several National Boards and Committees including the National Theatre, Ghana Music Right Owners Organization (Ghamro), the National Intellectual Property Policy Committee and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards just to mention a few

She is a former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, (MUSIGA) and currently the Founder Ceo of GHMusic Publishing And Management. She also studied Intellectual Property law and Mediation and obtained Advanced International Certificate in IP Panorama Multimedia Contents of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and the Korean Invention Promotion association (KIPA). She has benefitted from the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development (CLDP) IP Programs (CLDP) in Africa. Diana is a graduate of the Christian Leaders Institute, Events Management in the Youth with a Mission (YWAM)’s College of Arts and Sports of the University of the Nations (UofN), KonaHawaii, USA

Diana is the Deputy Director and Co-Founder of the Center for Peace and Reconciliation (CPR) A professional Counseling, People Skills, Training and Mediation Centre in Accra. Diana is married to Dr. Emmanuel Hopeson and they are blessed with a son.
